Does tax form 8822 change my address for federal and state?

I moved. I filled out form 8822 just now as told to do over the form by the irs hotline agent. I think that just changes my address for my federal return. How do I change my address for my state return? I live in New York City.

NOPE, defferent government bodies and you have to change address with both if it is needed.Does tax form 8822 change my address for federal and state?
Just federal but why bother. If you file a tax return with a new address written on it, IRS will update from that.
