How to change your mailing address so nothing gets missed?

Im moving, wanna change my mailing address, is there any way to do this so nothing will come to my current address. I know i can call and change my address for all the regular stuff like bills and magazines and what not but how do i ensure that things that only come randomly get sent to my new address????How to change your mailing address so nothing gets missed?
The other two answers are correct but they didn't bring out one point; the Post Office will not forward anything but first and second class mail. Meaning they will not forward catalogs and such unless the item has forwarding service requested printed directly on it. Anything that says ';so and so OR current resident'; will be delivered to your old address.

So if those items you're worried about are 1st or 2nd class mail, you're fine. If it's a favorite catalog and it only comes quarterly, then you will need to go to that website and change your address.

And yes, a change of address is good for 6 months. How to change your mailing address so nothing gets missed?
Go to the post office and fill out the card
You need to go to your local post office, and fill out a change of addres form. They should then forward all your incoming mail to the new address instead of delivering it to your old one. You just have to let all the parties whose letter get forwarded to update your address. This service I believe lasts 6 months or so...

Good Luck
