New Mexico change address vehicle registration?

My vehicle registration runs out on Sept. Now my husband is in the military and we are stationed in Texas, he is deployed right now. I was wondering if anyone knew how to do a change of address. I need step by step directions on how to do so. Someone please help me!!!New Mexico change address vehicle registration?
Being your husband is in the military and you are now in Texas...all you have to do is contact the NM DMV and renew your registration with them you do not have to register it in Texas because you are stationed there....UNLESS you want to register your vehicle in Texas that is...then you take your vehicle to the DMV in Texas...pay the CRAZY new registration fees they have...You do not need a change of address for that...you should have already had a change of address with the postal service when you moved. It has nothing to do with your vehicle registration. Miltary here...never registered my vehicle in any state I moved to unless I originally purchased the vehicle in that state. There is online renewal as well. Here is the site...

Military personnel stationed abroad or dealing with actual combat in some far-off desert have it tough enough without having to stress about what is going on with the car back home or with their driver's license. It may be a bit different for those simply perched on a base in a different state. But it can be a regal hassle in any case, especially if you need to renew the registration in the home state and need an emissions test. Talk about a pain.

Of course, you could always request leave to make a colossal road trip back home. Thankfully, the Motor Vehicle Division (MVD) makes it easy on those serving in the military that happen to be far away from the Land of Enchantment. Of course, it works in reverse too. Those in the military from another state who are stationed at a New Mexico base also get a few perks.
