How to make a change of address?

My bf had his work checks addressed to his mom's house. She recently moved to California (from Ohio).



I think his check is with his mom in California now...how long will it take to get the check/change address?How to make a change of address?
Is he still living at his mother's old address? If so, then she should have only filed a change of address with the post office for herself, not for the family. If she accidental did it for the family, he should be able to change it for himself. This will take up to about 2 weeks to ';kick in';.



If he is not living there, he needs to contact his employer about changing the address his checks are sent to. How long that takes depends on how fast his employer is at actually imputing the change into their computer records.How to make a change of address?
