Speeding ticket courtesy notice - change of address?

I recently got a speeding ticket (about a week ago) and neglected to mention to the police officer (and DMV) that I changed addresses. The officer said that I'd recieve a courtesy notice in the mail. How do I go about changing addresses to make sure I recieve that notice at the correct location? Do I change it through the DMV's change of address online, or do I contact the court?

Thanks for your time and help.Speeding ticket courtesy notice - change of address?
Normally when people move from one address to the next they set up to have the mail forwarded to the new address. Now so you know......you need to get it all switched over because when you're sent the renewal notice from DMV you may get it late, also what about your insurance, it needs to go to the right address or how else would you be able to provide proof of it. Some states issue fines in the form of a citation for not updating your current address information on registration and driver's license.

In the meantime, just make sure the ticket is paid for in time and you won't have a problem. Just contact the court it was issued out of before the due date and pay for it.....a courtesy notice is only a reminder about the ticket before it becomes past due and you have a warrant out for your arrest for FTA. Do call both the courts and DMV.Find out also if the courts will allow you to take a traffic school class. You can possibly avoid your insurance from going up along with points being put on your driver檚 license if you take a class. Just make sure the courts give you the green light to take the class and that it檚 court approved.
